Research on nonlinear vibration control of laminated cylindrical shells with discontinuous piezoelectric layer

A model of laminated cylindrical shells with discontinuous piezoelectric layer is proposed. Based on the first-order shear nonlinear shell theory, vibration control point-supported elastic boundary condition analyzed. In this model, a series artificial springs are introduced to simulate arbitrary conditions. And elastic-electrically coupled differential equations obtained by Chebyshev polynomials and Lagrange decoupled using negative velocity feedback adjustment. Then, frequency–amplitude responses incremental harmonic balance method. Finally, influence constant gain, size, position amplitude–frequency response investigated. The results show that gain size have significant amplitude time–frequency response.
